ANPEI is an association that congregates companies and institutions from various sectors of the economy that have sought competitiveness through technological innovation.
It aims at stimulating technological innovation in companies.

Actions
According to its mission ANPEI works to:

• Insert technological innovation in the national political agenda, creating conditions to elaborate and implement public policies that will favor investments in technology by the productive sector.

• Promote the importance of technological innovation in an entrepreneurial context as strategic factor for competitiveness improvement.

• Sensitize society about the role of technological innovation as traction for national economic development.

• Propitiate companies to capacitate technologically in order to better manage the innovative effort.

• Support the academic sector aiming at directing its objectives into forming human resources and generating scientific knowledge.
  

Categories of Member

-       Full Member: Industrial enterprise, be it public or private, with national or foreign capital, which performs R,D&E (Research, Development and Engineering).

-       Affiliate Member: Public or private institution, or part of one, which performs activities related to industrial R,D&E.

-       Individual Member: Individuals personally interested in the industrial technological area.

Performance
ANPEI takes part of governmental programs, boards of directors, executive bodies, committees, events, and workgroups linked to entrepreneurial technological development as forums to conduct its mission accordingly.

ANPEI has also reached the country nationally by means of its Itinerant Event "Does Technology Pay Off?", which brings awareness to entrepreneurs, especially micro and small ones, about the importance of technological innovation.

ANPEI promotes currently the Conference Technological Innovation Leverage," which brings forth the great national themes about the matter by means of lectures given by preeminent Brazilian and foreign personalities, as well as debates that are open to the attendees.

 

Courses, Projects and Programs
In order to address the needs of its members, ANPEI develops projects oriented to technological innovation. Two projects are under way:

-        System of Entrepreneurial Indicators of Technological Innovation: Introduced in 1993 with the support of MCT aims at providing companies with information about technological innovation.

-        Technological Engagement: Having Sebrae as its partner, its main objective is helping small companies in Sao Paulo increase their competitiveness by implementing projects of accordance and technological innovation.

 

Communications
ANPEI disseminates its points of view as well as those of its members through ENGENHAR, a publication released quarterly being directed to the internal as well the external public. In addition, each member receives a subscription to RTM - Research Technology Management, published bimonthly by IRI - Industrial Research Institute. RTM is the most renowned technical magazine related to practical issues about industrial technological management. It is also available on-line.
